Dear Friends,
I founded Ashara Movement Studio in 2017 to help women reconnect with strength, confidence, and joy in movement. What started with small Barre and Pilates classes has grown into a welcoming studio offering private training, group classes, and specialized programs in Pilates, Barre, yoga, dance, and pelvic floor health. My passion is creating a space where women feel supported, challenged, and empowered to move with ease—and to truly enjoy the process.
xo,
Ashara
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
We’re on NY Avenue right on the corner of Carroll Street in Crown Heights.
Please use the side entrance — that’s where all the good vibes begin!
Can I wear my regular shoes inside?
To keep our space clean and cozy, street shoes aren’t allowed inside the studio.
Just leave them on the shoe rack and either:
Work out in socks, or
Bring a pair of dedicated studio shoes.
What should I wear to class?
Most people wear leggings and a t-shirt, with or without a skirt- both are just fine!
We suggest wearing breathable, stretchy clothing that helps you move with ease and comfort.
Can I bring my baby?
Babies are welcome during our Mom & Baby Pilates class only. This class is specially designed for bonding time, movement, and a supportive atmosphere for moms!
What should I bring to Mom & Baby Pilates?
We recommend bringing:
An extra blanket
A favorite toy or two for your little one
We’ve got everything else you need covered.
Do I need to bring water?
Bringing your own water bottle is always great, but don’t worry if you forget — we have filtered water and cups available in the studio.
When should I arrive for class?
Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to check in, settle your space, and say hi to your instructor.
The studio door locks 5 minutes after class starts to protect everyone’s focus and flow. If you miss the window, we’ll welcome you with open arms next time!
